Welcome to the forums.
Generally, you can get a good light source and look above the area where the fluid is hitting the ground, and see where the leak is coming from. Common places for leaks are the hoses, the rack and pinion or the power steering pump. You might have to raise the front of the car (and safely support it) in order to see the leak with the engine running. If this doesn't work, have someone turn the steering wheel with it running and watch the rubber sections of the power steering hoses.
Let us know what you find.

Welcome to the forum.
[B][I]Whats the milage on the car?
Have any steering repairs EVER been done?
Off the top of my head I THINK there were recalls for steering/power/fluid issues on you're car. Have you addressed them?
Run your VIN with a dealer to confirm the recalls.

If it comes out in puddles, this is what I would do....find out where Tools lives.....pull into his driveway, and wash down your engine, especially the PS lines, rack and pump.....fill the reservoir...now move your car to a dry spot in Tool's driveway....start the engine, and look for those puddles......my guess would be a hose where the metal crimps onto the rubber or the seal on your pump......
Then get the hell out of there before Tools finds out you are in his driveway!

We live in the greatest country in the world. Not only are you afforded democracy, but you're afford choice.
The choice is yours.
You can park your car in my driveway, or you can park it in TECH II's driveway.
The difference being, in my driveway your leak will be fixed inside of an hour. TECH II will also fix your leak inside of an hour, but he'll have parts left over.

Tools will take your money and not fix the problem, but he will "give" you a case of Cokes and try to make you feel stupid....
TECHII will fix the leak WITHOUT all kinds of wild stories fabricated in order to cover his mistakes.
I know which one I would trust...

I’m pretty good with cars. My brother is an electro mechanical engineer. Between both of us, and lots and lots of hours we break down what “Tools” is saying and get the car fixed. But I gotta tell you, it’s not easy. “Tools” can make you want to tear the hair out of your head. I’ll tell you something else, I agree with you guys. There are times when “Tools” can be insulting and make a person feel like an idiot.
But, what’s important to me is how competent an individual is in his field or trade. I don’t care about a person’s attitude or how he speaks. He could have sex with farm animals for all I care. Just fix my problem, or tell me how to fix it, and don’t rip me off in the process. When you go a doctor you want to be diagnosed and cured. When you call a plumber you want your water issue fixed. If you call an electrician you want your electric issues fixed. I think you get the idea of what’s being said here. Well when I have a car problem I want it fixed. This forum affords me that. Because of guys like “Tools”, I know I can get honest and accurate information that works the first time and every time.
I understand what you guys are saying. There’s no need for “Tools” to talk to people in a way that makes them feel stupid. But, look we’re all “Big Boys” here. I think we’re all tough enough to deal with one persons “Bad Attitude”. Just look at “Tools” for what he is. See him as I see Him. He’s just a great mechanic. He’s helped me countless times. There are four cars in my family. My wife drives, I drive, and both my children drive. There are also the same four cars in my brother’s family. Over time “Tools” has saved us all thousands of dollars. I'm not blinded by any smoke screen, I see things as they are

This is a quote from your last post:
"Ive shown a few of Tools answers and diagnostic procedures to mechanics here in Connecticut, and they couldn't follow or understand them. Furthermore, some of the guys I showed Tools stuff to were ASE certified."
So, the fact that he occasionally writes complete and utter nonsense makes him an automotive genius?
Don't get me wrong, I believe Tools is a competent auto repair tech, although he sometimes does not completely know what he is talking about. The main difference between someone like you and some of us professional auto repair techs is, we recognize

These are you’re words.

You strike me as a very angry individual. I’m sorry to hear that. Maybe you’re burnt out? Maybe your boss doesn’t appreciate your skills? Maybe you deserve a raise and haven’t received it yet?
But why take it out on “Left Tools”? He has never written me or my brother anything that was utter nonsense. There are only two reasons why the “ASE certified” mechanics couldn’t understand what “Left Tools” wrote.
1. It was far comprensive and too technical and it went right over their heads.
2. It’s like I said originally. Instead of an answer “Left Tools” wrote a 50 page novel.
In case you didn’t get it the first time. Here it is again.
THE ADVICE MY BROTHER AND I HAVE RECIVED FROM “LEFT TOOLS” HAS SAVED US THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!!!
IM DONE WITH YOU AND WON'T RESPOND ANY FURTHER!!!
